Case Study: ATLANTIS
When Architecture Tells a Story
Some projects are more than architecture. ATLANTIS Ibiza is one of them.
26 exclusive apartments and penthouses in the first sea line at Playa d'en Bossa — a project with a volume of around 80 million euros, planned for construction start Q3 2027 and completion Q1 2030. Developed by the Domus Vivendi Group, one of the most experienced luxury real estate developers in Europe.
gmsvision was commissioned to bring ATLANTIS to life visually — with 3D architectural visualizations, an architectural animation film and cinemagraphs. The result: 50+ photorealistic renderings, a complete architectural film and a teaser sent to selected buyers.

The Challenge: More Than Beautiful Images
The Domus Vivendi Group wanted something special this time. Not just renderings — but a complete visual identity that transports the soul of ATLANTIS.
That meant: the project logo had to appear in the building's facade. The underground parking garage became an underwater experience — with graffiti installations creating an ocean feeling from the moment you drive in. Custom pendant lights designed exclusively for ATLANTIS appeared throughout the interiors. Sculptures grow organically from the ground. Green facades, water walls, shell walls and climbing plants on the balconies — everything had to convey the impression that the buildings themselves grow from the earth, just as Atlantis once rose from the ocean.
Translating this vision into photorealistic 3D architectural visualization and real estate rendering was the real challenge.

The Process: 4 Intensive Months
The project ran for approximately 4 intensive months — with a clear focus: every visualization had to not only show the architecture, but make the ATLANTIS lifestyle tangible.
Phase 1 — Concept & Mood First, color worlds, materials and lighting moods were defined. ATLANTIS's color palette reflects the sea in all its facets — deep ocean blue, light Mediterranean turquoise, warm sandstone tones. This palette was consistently carried through all interior and exterior spaces.
Phase 2 — Exterior Visualizations & Architectural Film The exterior views show how the buildings grow organically from the landscape. Lush greenery, flowing water walls, natural stone and warm wood combine with a modern architectural language. Special care was given to lighting simulation — from the golden morning hour to the atmospheric evening lighting at the pool.
In parallel, the architectural animation film was created — with cinematic camera movements that show the complex in its full depth: from the beachclub to the private pool to the penthouses with views all the way to Formentera.
Phase 3 — Interior Renderings In close collaboration with the design team, detailed interior renderings were created. Every detail was worked out — from the custom pendant lights to the central aquarium in the living area to the penthouse bathroom with its sculptural natural stone cladding. Some spaces were further developed during the project and refined in additional visualizations.
Phase 4 — Cinemagraphs & Teaser Finally, cinemagraphs were created — images in which water moves, vegetation gently sways and light flows. These were sent together with an exclusive teaser film to selected buyers. The client was thrilled with the results.

New Technologies in Production
For ATLANTIS, gmsvision utilized new production technologies that enabled visual effects which were previously extremely difficult or time-consuming with conventional methods. Specifically, this involved the animation sequence in which the buildings grow organically from the earth — like Atlantis itself rising from the ocean — as well as the realistic depiction of flowing water across the water walls and exterior surfaces. These sequences required a level of detail and fluid movement that goes beyond the capabilities of traditional 3D production tools — and the result speaks for itself in the final film.

The Result
50+ photorealistic 3D renderings, a complete architectural animation film, cinemagraphs and a teaser — all delivered within 4 months.
ATLANTIS Ibiza shows what is possible when architecture, design and visualization work hand in hand. A project that goes far beyond the ordinary — and it shows.
